Should I buy the Kahr PM9 or not???

A couple of weeks ago I bought a CZ 75 P-01 and while so far I love this gun in every way It just seems a little to heavy on my side...
Right now I'm using an uncle mikes sidekick on my belt and I'm always pulling my pants up, if I tighten my belt I cant hardly breath (might be the start of a beer belly)LOL...

I'm thinking of dropping the coin on a Kahr PM9 but am very worried about spending over $550 on an unreliable gun, especially for that much money
But if I use the P-01 as my main carry gun I probably wont wear it all the time and that defeats the purpose of having the protection in the first place because we never know when a BG might be lurking around a corner...
Some might say to try a different holster but I dont think thats the problem...

I value all of you guys on THR advised so please give me some input. Should I try the PM9 or not!!!

I already have held the gun and with the extended magazine it felt quite well.I havent shot it but I cant imagine that it would be much more recoil than the piece of crap small .380 I used to have so recoil is not much of an issue......

PM9

I have a PM9 and it is very reliable. But what you need is a good holster and Great belt. See Milt Sparks, Mitch Rosen, Andrews Leather or something along that line. I carry a 1911 with two spare mags no problems. Versa Max II with Gun Skin Mag pouch and Milt Sparks Holster. Expensive but worth every penny.

I have the Kahr MK9. It has been 100% from day 1 on everything I have fed it. Also, surprisingly accurate for such a small gun. If the polymer version is anything near the MK9, go for it!

The posts re: the reliability of the PM9 are on this and other boards. Many run very well. The Diamond Kote is definitely worth the additional few dollars. Mine is shooting very well and I am satisfied.

I got an Alessi Talon Clip holster for IWB and pocket carry and it fits and works perfectly. I also have on order with Milt Sparks a 55BN OWB holster which is high ride and will make the PM9 disappear without wearing the 'bulk'of IWB.

There are some good choices for IWB for the PM9 and this pistol is small, thin and lightweight. Good attributes for a CCW pistol.

I've got a blackened PM9.

Get a good holster and belt for the P-01...that will help alot with the "drag" or weight of the weapon...<~~havent gotten my "pattern" in yet so NO that isnt an act of shameless self promotion

If you plan on belt carry, I would go with the P9 anyway.
It has the longer grip.
What nhhillbilly said about a good belt and holster is absolutely true.

I love my PM9. I just crossed the 1000rd mark with maybe two jams in the first 100rds.

One of the reasons that I like the gun is that I can drop it in a $10 pocket holster and forget about it.
If I'm driving a lot, a small Belt Pak by Uncle Mike's keeps it handy.
It also works well for IWB carry, when that is a better option than front pocket.
I've not even tried belly band and ankle carry, but it fits nicely in a shoulder holster.

If you buy one, and it turns out to be unrelible, Kahr will repair or replace it.
Yes it will be a pain, but I don't think the odds are any worse of getting a Kahr that needs repairs than of getting a Smith, Colt, Sig, or other top-end gun.

This is my second Kahr, and I've been very pleased with both.
The guns are accurate, well made, reliable, and fun to shoot.
