I live in a county in NY State and my County only allows the ownership of 10 registered pistols. Unconstitutional and down right un American I know but that is not the point at the moment. I would like a pair Ruger Vaqueros and to stay within the 10 gun limit I need to sell two. So I am selling a NAA Super Cmpanion and I have posted and add for my ROA too http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?p=7928102#post7928102

Should I do this?

I have more BP pistols 2nd and 3rd gen Colts, as well as an 1858 Rem. I like the historical significance of them , but the ROA is the best shooter.

Opinions?

Give the ROA to a trusted out of state friend or relative for temporary storage, until you can move back into the real US.

You need to register them if you own everything needed to fire them, powder caps balls...
So I did.

Not creeping up on me, it hit me in the face. Illinois was much easier to deal with, unless you felt the need to CC

The link is invalid and the ad doesn't exist in your statistics.
The ad could have been pulled if the state wasn't included in the title.

The ad was pulled I did not include state in title. New link is posted in first post.

If you're more a shooter than historian the ROA should stay and the least favored of your others should go. If more historian than shooter, you're doing the right thing. As for me, the ROA would be staying.

I live in Canada and thought our laws were ridiculous but a 10 gun limit
I have heard rumours about the 10 gun limit and now I know where they came from.
Up here ROA's go for $500-$600 and as they aren't being made anymore finding one in good shape is becoming difficult.

Is that 10 guns per person or household? Time to register the guns with the wife or girlfriend?

That's appalling (and I'm in California). I had no idea there was anyplace in the US that has limits like that.
