Lots of people base their decisions on the overriding public opinion. It does not matter for the law, but it might change someone's mind who sees it. That's about all I can think of.
I would call it a landslide in our favor coming from Chicago.

Someone earlier today on another post said something about a political official remarking on an AK-47 in the park. I'm just thinking about all the smart/dumb@$$' that would go overboard and do something stupid like that.
