Lots of people base their decisions on the overriding public opinion. It does not matter for the law, but it might change someone's mind who sees it. That's about all I can think of.

It's legal now (well in 9 months),
Not legal in 9 months, not until it is signed into law, which hasn't happened yet.

You mean the lots of people who don't think for themselves and who think polls are important?

I would call it a landslide in our favor coming from Chicago.

Its the internet, not just Chicago. So I am not impressed with the results. In fact, your plea for people to respond is what makes it not just a Chicago poll.

Obama has said he will sign it. It is attached to the credit card thing. It's a done deal.

There's no way he will veto this, his own party will cut him off at the knees if he does.

How it works with liberal news papers==If we loose Its all over the morning front page --People want strong gun laws --! OK
IF we win It goes to the back page of the last edition for the day and gets buryed deep!! But at least they cant use it for there propaganda !!

Well..... how am I supposed to take on Bigfoot should I run into him?

My fists? HUH?! :scrutiny:

I agree that CCW folks should be able to carry in national parks

I agree that CCW folks should be able to carry in national parks. I'm thinking the new legislation should be limited to licensed CCW persons.

IMHO, I wouldn't feel comfy with "Joe" walking down the bunny trail with a Mossy:eek:. Besides, as soon as the first unlawful shooting in a park of wildlife or another human, the law and any gun owners will be hammered. Someone earlier today on another post said something about a political official remarking on an AK-47 in the park. I'm just thinking about all the smart/dumb@$$' that would go overboard and do something stupid like that.

I live in an open carry state, but the bad guy might target me first as I would be advertising I'm a threat to his evil scheme.

I love the fact that as a CCW person, I can carry my sidearm when I hunt in public hunting lands.

Hmm. I fully intend to carry a Marlin lever action into Big Bend National Park in the spring.

So I'm a problem? A law abiding citizen carrying a rifle?

OK, I guess so.
