Really nice full blue Colt Signature Series 1860 .44Colt by John Gren. Nickel plated grip frame. Interesting Open Top/Richards conversion hybrid utilizing a solid frame like the Open Top but with a relined percussion barrel. Somebody got a really good deal on this sweet sixgun!

Actually that is John's rendition of a "Long Cylinder" Colt conversion and is pretty close (except that he reprofiled the barrel lug somewhat and installed an ejector like a Richards).

Nice pistol for it's time as John was a pioneer in Cartridge Conversion building.
Not a bad price and with a second barrel retaining the rammer and the throats opened up it would be a fun switch caliber gun to shoot heel base bullets in!

There is some historical significance (what I've been told) to the "full blue" as there were some military 1860 pistols that were re-arsenaled that way.
