Always been sorry STI ( Staccato now ) stopped making their single stack 1911 pistols. When I see one for sale, if the funds are available, I try and snag it. Was able to nab this Elektra in 9mm about a week ago.

That is a sweet pattern in the slide serrations. I generally don't like artwork on guns, but that's classy.
I understand why they stopped making them, but I also regretted when they stopped.
I might pass on a Spartan, but would certainly pick up any Trojan I came across
I've never seen an Elektra.
Is it a Commander sized 9mm?

Reminds me of the single stack grip for the 2011‘s I picked up to upset the diehards that had come up with single stack only matches.
It sucks up mags faster than a newbie during a panic.
If you want a 1911 that’s slicker than greased owl poop, find an SVI to play with. They cost more but once you work one, you’ll understand why.

Looks more like an Officer’s or maybe even shorter.
I owned a Spartan many years ago. Replaced the full length guide rod and plug with GI parts and installed an ambi safety. Wish I still had it. With both the mods had less than 600 into it. Shot it in several types of matches and carried it for several years. Great shooter.

The Elektra is an officer size. Those slide serrations are called sabertooth ( or sabretooth, seen it spelled both ways ). The Electra was an attempt to draw females to the 1911 platform. Note the short trigger. It was available in 9mm & 45 ACP. Came in various colors for the STI logo & ELEKTRA name on the slide. The grips were matching to the color ( BLACK, RED, BLUE, PURPLE & PINK ). Also have a black one. Pretty poor photo though.

Trojan (9mm), Spartan (45 ACP), Duty One (40 S&W), and Lawman (45 ACP). The Duty One and Lawman are unfired.

The Lawman was the one I coveted when they were in production.

Bull barrel 9mm and 38 Super Trojans; excellent pistols. I was sorry to see they were discontinued a few years ago..

Nice & thanks. I've wanted to add a 38 super to my collection, but the stars have not aligned yet. I have a buddy with a STI Eagle double stack ( still called STI when this was made ) in 38 super. We went to the range one day, and he said I should buy this gun from him. When I said "Yes" , he quickly back tracked and said " Only kidding ".
Let me throw in another of mine. An Escort in 9mm. Another officer sized.
