I am waiting eagerly for the weather to break to get into the woods and finally get my 10" MK 2 Ruger bloody. In the meantime show me some of your small game handgunning rigs, guns, holsters ect.

And tips on being more successful are welcome

for squirrels... K22, 6", CCI Mini-mag solids, inexpensive Western brand leather holster. (no pics, sorry) I have shot out to 30-35 yds...

I shoot cci standard velocity 22lr in it very accurately. Haven't tried any target ammo yet, but out to about 30 yards it's pretty good on fox squirrels once the leaves are off. 50-50 on the smaller gray squirrels. It really shines though with the 22 mag cylinder installed for rabbits. The mag is more accurate in my gun. On running shots I lead them just like with a shotgun...but if they are in the open I let them run then pop them when they stop and raise their head trying to figure out why I'm not chasing them. I use that tactic every time with a bow.

A couple of Ruger Single Six's and a couple of Taurus 990's, I shoot CCI mini-mag hollow points out of all of them. I use cheap holsters i got of ebay, not really worth showing.

I don't hunt squirrels, but if I did I would also use a Ruger MKII 10". Probably the one I have with a Burris Fast Fire III on it.

I have a very accurate .22LR 10" scoped contender barrel, but haven't used it much since I got this.

AMT Lightning 10.5"
Colt Woodsman Match target 6"
Colt frame/Kart slide 1911

I should have kept my Ruger Davidson's Great Eight and went to new grip frame and scoped it (plus internal mods).
Old eyes now, for serious shooting I gotta run an optic.

Am content to run my fingergroove factory checkered 10/22. Put a Volquartsen hammer in it last night. Much better. Now I just need a Leupold RF 2-7X on it.
