I went with five shots to even the field with the Pocket Pistols. This was my "Sheriff's Model" 1860, lube-over-ball, 35 grains of 3fg. It measures 13"X10".
I shot sitting on the ground, back against a 4X4 post, resting my arms over my knees.
She sure shoots higher than I remember, but I've not shot it at 50 before. My POA was bottom of the plate, front sight halfway down in the notch. A pattern rather than a group for sure, but it would have been deadly on a Comanchero, or human target. On a wolf, the vertical spread would have put at least two shots over it's back.
So okay people, post your 50 yard damage. It's okay to shoot a few, and post the best one you get. That's kind of what I have here.
Thanks in advance, eager to see what results others get.
