Okay before this gets locked i might as well share what i have.

For a rifle:
My Mosin Nagant m44--I have approaching 1500 rounds for this (I actually don't own a real accurate rifle until i get an AR)

For a carbine:
My Yugo SKS--i only have 40 rounds right now, im getting more soon.

For a pistol:
My M1917 45. ACP revolver

You probably have more than enough for any real world SHTF situation you'd encounter. I doubt youll need to be bustin heads at 600 yards, but who knows.

I have a bug out bag, but I for the most part plan on buggin in. I'm sure everybody fantasizes about living off the land and roughing it when things pop off, but thats not realistic. Your AR and AK will serve you well, what you should be concerned about is ammo, food, water, and medical supplies.

I will say that I don't think you should plan on carrying all 3 of those guns, their ammo, AND a long range gun. that would be a little impractical and definitely VERY heavy.

But, FWIW, I plan on grabbing my Bushmaster M4A3, my 7 30 rounders and 2 40 rounders are going in the bug out bag, and my SW 329 Night Guard .44 is going in my waist. If 290 rounds of .223 and 30 rounds of .44 isnt enough, then I should have brought backup.

If you think there is a high probability of need for all that Good Stuff, my advice is to move now and beat the rush. Move far away from any likely fans.

Your best defensive weapon is your brain. Work out probable scenarios. Guns'n'such are almost incidental...
