I have an Siamese Mauser in 45/70 with a full length Mannliciher style stock...I love this rifle. I love it so much I'd like to create another one in a different caliber.

So the question is: Who can customize these?
I'd like a sporter stock, polished up, new bolt handle...and rebarreled to either .303 or an improved or wildcat variation..25/303, etc. I'm not interested in a work of art and I'd like it done in my lifetime...I really intend to shoot this.

Yeah, I know...custom rifles make no economic sense what so ever...

Do you have another Siamese to work with? I haven't seen one for sale in a long time.

I recall an old article about setting one up in .22 Krag Short which is not enough different in performance from a .22-250 to matter. Seems like any caliber you wanted could be made up on Krag or .303 brass. Or even the original, nothing wrong with a Krag in a strong action. But I don't know of a shop to recommend.

I have three actions that if I had access to a mill and lath would work on.

You can easily convert one to 225 Winchester 30-40 or 375 JDJ a well a 45-70.

Some thing to think about if you want smaller then 45-70 is what you want to hunt?

Getting a stock my be harder then fitting up the action.
If you have any questions to add please write me.
