Sierra GameKing 65gr for 223 AR Powder?

Recently found a supply of these bullets for a decent price and grabbed them. I usually shoot 55 gr Hornady v-max out of my AR with H335. I've read mixed reviews on using 335 for this weight of bullet. Seems like alot of people prefer Varget for 65 an up.

What's everyone's thoughts? H335 or Varget with the Sierra 65 gr GameKing

Purpose is Hogs and Coyotes with my DPMS 223 16" barrel at range of 200 yards and under.

I voted Varget in the poll, but TAC is hard to beat with 65 sgk.

I voted Varget, but Reloader 15 is equally impressive for 69 gr SMK, perhaps more.

Yea, I've thought about TAC and RL15 but I have 3-4 pounds of Varget on hand and figured it would take another 8 weeks to get TAC or RL

I'd prefer a slower burn than H335.

I voted varget. I use that or IMR 4320 on anything in the 62-68 grain range.

The H335 gets used for 50-60 grain projectiles.

I prefer Varget of the two. I could recommend a dozen recipes as good but who the hell knows what and when you will be able to get anything.

Of late, I buy just whatever, and then research the powder to try and find loads, it's actually fun, and has expanded my knowledge and powder base. I have bought, the last months, AR Comp, CFE 223, TAC, AA2520, H322, 4064, 3031, XBR8280, RL 17 and a couple of others. I have a nice stock of Varget and 748, that I used to only use.

Now, I have lots of powder to play with...so panic on...

I'd love to try TAC and others but like you said there is no telling when I'll be able to get my hands on some. Since I have 335 and Varget I'll go with the Varget

Sorry I couldn't vote because IMO CFE223 would be best for that chore.
