I have not loaded for 280 Rem, but have for it's first cousin the 270 Win. Rel-19 is a good powder in both calibers.
What bullet weight are you using?

Rel-22 is a bit better if you're using the heavier bullets.

For match bullets in 280Rem, I recommend trying the 162 AMAX, the 168gr Berger VLD, and the 175gr SMK (or the 180gr Berger).

For the 162gr AMAX and RL19, the max load should be somewhere around 53 grains and starting at 48 should be safe.

RL17 would be a good candidate for the .280 Rem, but I don't have any load data for it on hand.

hey Zak, have you used the Berger VLD's at all ? i was kinda hesitant to get them first for some reason.

This is a first pass QuickLoad model with RL17.
Check this with other sources before loading.
Start low and work up carefully.

I would check with other reliable data and probably start at 46 and work up.

I have used the Berger bullets in the 6.5's, .308, and 7mm Rem Mag. I don't have a rifle in .280 Rem but a couple of my friends do. If you don't want to shoot the Bergers for whatever reason, the 162 AMAX and the 175 SMK are both good long-range bullets.
