The E series is a great gun, Buds had them for $1177.00, that is the cheapest I have seen them, usually you are looking at 13-1500. I found 2 in a gun store in Melbourne and the guy wanted $1350, he wouldn't budge. But "shoot straight" had a coupe at the FT pierce show, last week around 12 hundred, that's without tax and call in. I would put it into slick guns, and see what you get there. That's where I found them at Buds.
You can get all blk or stainless slide and blk frame, I like them both.
It's just a lot of money, but not for a quality 1911, and I have heard of a few stories of extractor and ejector problems, but you hear that with all of them.
The original S&W scandium 45 was the Gunsite model that I ran across today, for $950.00 new from a local gun store. But they weren't bobbed.
