So I bought this Sig 1911 ultra compact a few months ago. It's the Tribal edition (not certain which tribe) and I hate the graphics on it. Changing out the grips helped and I hopedvit would grow on me but hasn't. I got it because it was on closeout for about $250 less than the same gun without the Tribal designs. Has the same design on both sides of the slide and some more on top. Seems like they're laser etched or something? Any ideas on removing them, even if it's just the black part? Ceracote the whole slide? Sig doesn't seem to offer a replacement slide...

You could try bead blasting it. A surface grinder will for sure take it off, but you will need someone who is skilled and fully understands what you want removed/left on. Cerakote will cover it. Used slides show up on Gun Broker all the time.

I may check gunbroker at some point. I'd thought about trying to use aircraft stripper to see if it would come off. I could deal with the outline of the black were gone.
