BLUF: What holster, preferable suitable for ccw, is your favg for a sig 220 with an underrail weapon light attached?
and,
Can new sights (Meprolight, to be specific) be installed and sighted easily or should I pay up and let a smith do it?
Background...
I am getting settled in TX (thank God) and just finished my 12-hour CHL course. I used my 220 just to see if that light rail adapter held up under recoil: seems sturdy enough through the 50 rounds so far, btw.
This was/is my nightstand pistol and thus has a light attachent which i want to remain.
But i forgot how much i like this pistol! Sweet shooter, etc. So I decided that it should be a carry option for me. So I need to find a decent holster, or fanny pack, that is a quick access, but accomodattes the added presence of the light ahead of the triggerguard.
Also, I am adding some tritium sights which i really should have done a long time ago. Are 220 sights easy enough for a guy with some skill but no training? Or, is some $$ to a gunsmith in order?
thanks SIg lovers!
