I have never seen a Sig WITH a safety and why is everyone so hung up on them. You all sound like anti-gun protestor's.

I guess you've never seen a Sig pistol then. The GSR 1911? The new Sig P220SA? P226 X-Five? Mosquito .22? P220 Match? Those are just the one's with external safeties I can remember without giving it much thought.

All Sigs have safeties...the safeties on most models are internal and are transparent to the user. Many Sig models have external safeties either on the frame or slide.

Give the guy a break, dude.

allen268 - do you have a 9mm or .40 cal.?

I have a 229ST which was a limited run and only available in .40, however with the .40 model you can convert to 357sig or 9mm by swaping out the barrels.

I have one of the 229R 9mm CPO's in like new condition. It has about become about my avorite carry gun. i've probably had 2000 trouble free rounds thrugh it since I got it. It's a tack driver also. The CPO Sigs are an excellent way to go. Most are in like new shape.
