I am thinking about getting a Sig 239. They appear to still be making the standard 239, and now also a 239 SAS which has been dehorned. It appears the SAS version has something called a SRT short trigger? What is that? How are these two guns different?

"SRT" and "short trigger" are two different features

the "short trigger" is a thinner trigger that shortens the reach to the face of the trigger for folks with shorter digits

"SRT" refers to a set of parts giving you a Short Reset Trigger...meaning that it shortens the distance to trigger reset after you've fired a shot. this is applicable to DA and SA, but not DAK. it was designed to compete with S&W for a LE contract

Sig makes a standard P239, and a P239SAS. As you mentioned, the P239SAS has a melt job (dehorned) and the SRT (short reset trigger). A standard P239 can be fitted with the SRT if you care to do so.

I own a Gen 1 P239SAS which is a two-tone P239, dehorned, and has the DAK trigger.

The Gen 1 P239SAS is no longer offered.
