Oh Hi Oh
I have a Sig 239 in 9mm that I really like. It came with factory night sights. For some reason I find the front sight is difficult/awkward to quickly acquire. I don't know if it's the size of the dot, the color (or lack thereof) or what, but I sort of have to search for it. Anyone have suggestions for a good alternative sight system for carry and SD? The gun is a tack-driver, it's just not quick to aim.

I have Ashley Big-dots on my 239. They came highly recommended.

There are two options for front sights that are easy to pick up that I can think of off the top of my head. The XS sights mentioned below and the Tru-Glo fiber-optic sights. I'm not sure if they make Tru-Glo sights for the Sig P239 though. I just use the factory Trijicons myself on my P239.

Unfortunately, the SIG factory night sights are about the worst around, due to the lack of white plastic collars. Almost anything will work better. The standard Trijicons work very nicely in both daylight and dark -- they do have white collars around the tritium lamps, which makes a huge difference.

Wow, I really like the look of those Enfield. I've been looking all over for bar/dot style night sights for my Sigs and all I could find was Heinie Straight Eights. These look much better.

I got the ones with the larger front dot, and only the front sight is illuminated. They also have a setup they call 24/7 in which the bar in the rear sight is illuminated also. I think I'll try the 24/7 sights on my Smith and see which I like best.

I've got the XS 24/7 Big Dots on my Kimber Pro Carry and they're fantastic. I'll be putting a set on my CZ P-01 as soon as I can scrape up the extra cash.
