I recently purchased a Mosquito along with a Walther P22. I took both to the range for the first time just the other day. It's a nice little plinker, a little bigger and heavier than the P22. I enjoyed shooting both. I had a couple failures with the mosquito, 2 shells failed to eject all the way, but that's happened to every .22 I've ever owned so it was no big deal to me.

Do a search on the Mosquitos. Quite a few owners wasn't very happy with them when they first came out.

I just rented one from a local range and have very mixed feelings. The gun shot pretty accurately and when it fed right it was oh so fun to rapid fire. However I had alot of problems. For one the gun ended up not cycling for about 3 clips so I had to manually work the slide. Also its trigger made me want to kill myself. If you can get one for cheap go for it. I guess little 22's like that jam a fair amount, or atleast my old ruger mkII did. go to a range and rent one and see how it feels.

Shot one today : 100 rounds and worked fine seemed like a real nice gun
Most say its not very good , Do not know what to think ?????? I like it , But ?

For a more target model, I really liked the Sig Trailside. They are also going cheaper that the Mosquito at the time being since it is so new.

I own two. DA trigger pull is reminiscent of an average HK USP - different hump than a normal Sig, but I consider it a trainer. SA is pretty much normal Sig.

My #1 has eaten close to 5k rounds since I've gotten it. It's more reliable than any other .22LR pistol I've had, providing I feed it copper-washed or jacketed shells. Mostly it eats Mini-mags, as then there's at least a little bit of flash and boom to simulate a real gun.

Friends fight over who gets to shoot it at the range. The 4H kids love it. I'm thinking of a third just because.

I was switching between different manufacturers rounds and that might have caused some of the problems, still not too much of an excuse though... It does feel good in the hand though

22 pistols

CDNN has Sig Trailsides for less than the Mosquito is going for right now.
The Trailside is a superb little plinking pistol
The P22 is a turd.

You can buy straight from CDNN with your credit card, and just have it shipped to the dealer of your choice. You just have to pay the transfer fee (Should be $20 or less).

The Mosquito is just like what you would get if Jennings made a SIG look alike in .22. What is it made of, cast Zinc? I checked one out... it is flat unworthy of the SIG name. I was highly disappointed. I don't like the P22 either, for the same reasons but I wasn't expecting it to be much.
