I am a Glock shooter, however I used a friends Sig at the range the other day and I like the grip size ( a problem with large hands ) and grip angle, very accurate. I do not like the double action, single action. I saw that Sig now has a p 220 single action and I wonder if anyone has done a range report on them, any comments would be appreciated.

They are pretty new so not a lot of them out yet.
They had problems early on with bad safeties (they would disengage w/ a little pressure even though they looked like they were engaged)
I hear the newer ones are nice. check sigforum.com there's a couple of threads on 220sao range reports there

I handled them at SHOT. Safety operation of the display guns was very positive, so we can reasonably conclude they have the bugs out there. Trigger pulls were slightly soft but light and easy to control. I think this is the gun Sigarms should have made to start with instead of jumping on the 1911 mutant bandwagon.

There is a thread on sigforum.com about prospects for a P226 SAO at a price less than X-Five and a size that will fit the IDPA Box.
