I recently bought a Sig 220 carry, love the gun. The trigger pull weight is the problem. My other Sig a 228 has a single action pull of app 5lbs. This is what I like. This used 220 is at 3.5 lbs. I am firing too quickly on double tap. I ordered a stock hammer spring from TGS and the pull weight is the same although the double action pull feels stiffer. What am I missing or has someone possibly done a trigger job that went too far?

The trigger job is plausible, since SIG normally spec'd the SA pull at ~4.5 lbs. But this could only be determined by disassembly and inspection by someone very knowledgeable. Continuing on this assumption, most of the gunsmiths who do trigger jobs on SIGs do advertise that they usually make the pull at ~3-3.5 lbs, so it is not necessarily a case of "going too far," but rather by intent.
