I have a new Sig P210 Legend with six magazines that I picked up about four weeks ago.
The problem:
After the last round is fired the slide would sometimes lock back and some times it would NOT.
This problem started the very first day I picked the gun up. The odd part was some of the magazines were locking back the slide more ofen that others.
So today I called and talked to the guys at Sig… They offered to have Fed Ex pick up the P210 and ship it back at N/C for service. I'm a bubblegum & baling wire type guy so when cleaning it today I put a magazines with the slide was off, and after playing around I could see what the problem was. I then took apart all the magazines and measured the springs… some were 6.8” and some were 7” and another was 7.5”.
The Fix:
I took all the springs and stretched them out to 9”… No more problems.
Very odd they would opt for such a cheap spring in such a great shooting gun.
I have only been shooting for about a year, so I'm not all that good... but at 75 feet standing free-hand 8 shots 4” group and at 45' if’s the stuff.
Here is a link to my first 45' target.
Hope this helps the next guy.
