Hello all,
Just picked up a used P220, American proof, parts made in Germany, assembled in the U.S. (I believe?). I've been trying to get a general idea of the date range of manuf., and it has no date codes (Germany proof units only have this letter/date code?). It has no accessory rail, is 2 tone, and the one odd thing I see on it is that the grip screws are not slotted, they are allen key, on both sides. The gun seems to be absolutely original, with no mods, in original box, (the booklet has a publish date of what looks like 1/97) but of all the P220 pics I've seen on the web, all have slotted screws. I know I can get a cert. of manufacture date direct from SIG, but it takes weeks. Any one have a rough idea on the date of manufacture, and does the grip screw type tell you anything? FYI, the serial number is all numbers (no letters). Any input at all is greatly appreciated. :banghead:
Thanks, Jeff

What's the serial number. Mine was made in 1995 and the serial number is 257,4XX.
