There have been many post on this board and others about the extractor problems on the P220 with milled stainless slides and internal extractors.

People who have experienced the problem are very disappointed and frustrated. I am to an extent one of those people. I am more disappointed then frustrated because in reality I don't get emotional about pistols. I have plenty of them which are functioning 100% so my personal safety is not at issue.

I have a CPO P220 SAS Full sized currently at the factory for repair. It will not feed ammo properly. It failed to feed right out of the box. It is currently being worked on by Sig.

I have taken a lot of heat for talking about Sigs issues here and on other forums. People seem to think Sig will take care of the issue even though other people with the same issue have had to send their pistols back multiple times. People tell me and others to chill out and trust that Sig will make it right. They have full faith and confidence that Sig will correct the issue to my satisfaction and that I am just bitching to bitch.

I got this $1000+ pistol for a very good price. It was almost half of its normal price. I am willing to sell this Sig for the exact price I paid to any of my detractors.

The only condition is that you need to need to put your money where your mouth is. I will not shoot this pistol but sell it to you unfired after its return from the factory. All the believers in Sig Quality control should not hesitate to buy because Sig fixed it right. :)

PM me for the price and details.

Currently I dont trust my P220ST at all.

I can see the extractor starting to loose its tension and ride down in the slide after a few hundred rounds. In another couple hundred or a couple thousand it will be back to choking and FTE. Currently it fails to lock back on an empty magazine. When I called SIG last month an extremely rude CS jerk, told me that if I cant remember my old RMA number for the last repair, the next one is on me, because apparently I dont have a lifetime warranty on mine.

Master call them again. They can look it up by the serial number and if you are still having issues then I believe they will attempt to fit it again.

I want to publicly apologize for my statements to you almost 2 years ago. I told you to that Sig would make it right and that you should give them the chance to fix it and that their customer service was good.

If I knew then what I know now I would have never made that statement. I feel your pain. PM me and I will tell you what I know and try to help you get this fixed.

crap, this sucks. I was so close to getting a used LE surplus P220 with night sights and two 8 round mags,,with minimal wear, for $535....now I have to rethink this.

is this regulated to just the SAS models?

No it is showing up on Stainless steel slides.

If the CPO you are looking at is the stamped steel slide with not rail I would pick that up.

I also had a FTF issue of my last round on my 220 Carry. Sent it back to have the extractor fixed. They also polished the feed ramp, for whatever reason. I still shoot it once in awhile but only carry my 1911s and DA Sigs.

Get on the SIG forum (sigforum.com) and check around. It seems to be a problem solved by tuning the extractor and a little fluff-n-buff (polish feed ramp and a few other things).

One guy had a great experience with SIG customer service. They really worked over his gun. Perhaps that was needed, but I didn't see the gun before the repair.

Grayguns Inc is also working on an extractor upgrade.

Thanks for the info. I am aware of the Sig forum. I have few posts over there. :)

This offer is real but is also an inside joke for some of my fellow Sig fans here.

Okay the moment of truth has arrived. I shot the pistol and it extracted and feed well. The extraction was a little erratic. Brass was not flying 100% predictably but it was extracting.

The feed ramp is noticeably polished. It does not look like they ground it down much but it is smoother.

In the end I am happy to have my pistol back and turntime was very good. I still have some reservations about using this as a self defense gun but I will continuing to shoot it and hope the it continues to function well...

If the gun does turn up to be for sale, post in the For Sale area not here.
