Sig P226 40SW to P226 9mm without a conversion barrel

I'm purchasing a P226 9mm complete slide and a new 9mm P226 barrel for around the same cost as a Barsto barrel.

I have a P226R in 40SW and I'm thinking that this and recoil spring and guiderod is really all I need to convert my 40SW to a 9mm. Am I correct?

As a side question, if this does work, where would I be able to just buy an assembled P226 frame only?

I don't know one way or another about the 9mm slide on a .40 frame, but my first thought is that the magazines are probably doing to be different.

I ran a 9mm slide/barrel on my .40 226 with no problems. Definitely need 9mm mags, but nothing special. Also make sure you have the correct spring.
