I have loaded some 9mm ammo that is just above the minimum power factor of 125 for IDPA match shooting. 4.2gr titegroup, 1.12oal, 124gr prn x treme bullets. (133pf)

The problem is some of the final loads in the mag, do not keep the slide open. Is this something that can be solved with a lighter recoil spring? if so, who would have something like that.

Thanks in advance.

be safe

several springs are on their way! I will post the results of using 14,13,12, and 11lb springs when I can.

Thank you for the referral!:)

be safe.

Double checked my thumb, no problem. Got a pack of 10-14# springs, and am using a 14# in my wives p226, and a 13# in mine.

both are working really well, simple problem solved.

be safe.

Glad it is working for you.
I did the same thing when campaigning a P226 in SSP.
The crunch-tick did not pay off for me, so the gun is back to stock springs and hollowpoints for repelling boarders.
