I was wondering what are your views on carrying SIG P226 v. Beretta 92 FS?

I mostly conceal carry or I leave it in the car. SIG seems a little boxy compare to Beretta which is a smooth looking gun. In terms or firing. I would say they are about the same. I could really feel the difference. But if I have to get marks for smoother trigger- it would SIG P226.

I like the Sig better. For me it feels great in the hand and I can knock out some bullseyes with it. The Beretta is good also but the external parts that should be internal make me leave it in the safe more than the Sig.

i have never been a fan of the brettas, espcially since using them in the army, i like the sigs better. i am not a fan of da/sa either, but i would rather put up with that trigger system in a sig than in the bretta, and the berretta dose't fit me at all, the sig does much better.

I would agree with firepower, the SIG is a little more boxy, fells that way as well; however, the trigger pull sig vs beretta I personally though beretta had the better, smoother DA pull. The Beretta points better for me and I have found that I shot the beretta more accurate than the sig. the difference I can tell is the Beretta has a safety (halfcocked) position on the hammer and the SIG does not, this may make the trigger not feel as smooth... cannot go wrong with either one though

I've shot both and prefer the Beretta. Both shoot accurately, Beretta fits my big hands really well, is smooth, and works like a dream. Sig I shot was ok, didn't inspire me or anything.

Shooting the Beretta felt fantastic, and I'm actually going to the gun shop today to buy one. Well, start the paperwork.

I own both and prefer the Sig. The Beretta has gotten a bad rap from a lot of people on the internet. While I prefere the Sig, if required to use the Beretta I would do so with confidence. Both are great guns.

Had Both

I bought a new Beretta 92FS about 3 years ago, had it for 18 mos. and traded for a sig 226 in 9mm which I still have.
I loved the Beretta, better looking, felt good in the hand, and never a FTF of any kind, however, I prefer the 226 trigger, DA/SA, and it is more accurate for me.

Bouth guns IMO are to heavy to carry for long periods of time, so, my favorite CCW of all time is the Walther P99c in 9mm. It's only 18.7 ounces empty and shoots like a dream. I traded my sig 229 in for it with no regrets.
