What's the difference between the two? I have a P230 in .380 and was wondering what makes the P232 different/better.

The P232 has fewer, fatter slide serrations and is the latter version. I have the P232 and a friend of mine has the P230, both in stainless. Neither is really "better," from what I can tell, there are just subtle differences in appearance. Same overall design.

Slide serrations are different.
P232 has a internal firing pin safety.
Different grip panels.
sights evolved from two dots to three, some overlap there I think.
P230 also came in .32acp and .22lr. P232 offered in .380 only I believe.

Thanks for the replies. Mine is blued; I wish it was stainless but I bought it used so not really a choice. I might have it chrome plated though...

I was told that Sig upgraded the P232 mostly to get it approved for California Sales. I looked on the California approved list before posting this and noticed the P230 is not there, while the P232 is approved. I could be wrong about this and someone might want to check my work.
