I noticed that sig has introduced the p232 in .22 LR. The 232 used to be my favorite gun until the economy went bad and i had to sell it, but I was thinking of getting another one, but this time i was gonna try and find one of the older .32 models because i've been fighting an illness and i've lost a lot of strength.

Now i see it's available in .22 LR. Not only would I enjoy the cheaper ammo and low recoil, but it also has one major change that in my opinion is an improvement in function on a gun that seemed to put form first: an external slide stop. You don't realize how much you enjoy having a slide stop until you handle a gun that doesnt have one. In my opinion that slide stop is a big step forward. The other changes i'm neutral on: it has a side mag release rather than the bottom of the grip one. It also adds an ambi safety.
It wouldn't be my self defense handgun so the safety doesn't bother me at all.. And in my opinion, the addition of a slide stop along with these other features makes this model superior to the walther ppk in .22(the gun i can see this one being compared to). I see this as more of a competitor for the mosquito, the walther p22, and the ruger sr22

Probably not for sale in Mass yet, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with it yet. My first concern is that i've been told by a lot of people that another sig .22lr, the mosquito, is really finicky with ammo.. And i think i'd be reluctant to buy this thing if that was the case again.

It also comes with a threaded barrel to receive a silencer. :D

(That might keep it out of Massachusetts, though; don't know the laws up there.)
