My new P238 is doing great in all respects but one. An example: A few days ago I shot 170 rounds of Federal, Remington and Winchester FMJ 90 grains. Out of the 170 about 10 (6.0%) of the ejected brass's necks are damaged (bent) with no symmetry. Is this something I can correct or is it a factory visit job. Since I'm not reloading I guess it doesn't matter but I don't think it's right. I'll try to attach some photos. Any thoughts?

This seems to be a common occurrence for those I know who have that model pistol.

Dented / bent case mouths are a normal thing with about any semi-auto pistol.

The case comes out, hits the ejector, does a hi-speed 360, and smacks into the slide.

As long as the emtpy case comes out every time, and the loaded round goes in every time?

It is a non-problem with any semi-auto pistol.

Mine does it about 100% of the time on the last round.

The way most small .380s eject your doing good to find enough to reload :)

If you are not reloading, as the man said: "Fogadaboutit!!"

Function is paramount, what the empties look like afterwards is of no matter.

Mine did it to the point that 5-10% of the empties were not reloadable. Most of what was causing the problem, and stoppages, was this....
