I went to one of the local gun shops today on the way home to see if they had the Kel-tec .380 for my brother in law.

However, there was an unfortunate story about a guy that was going into the police academy and went there to buy his duty gun. He bought a Sig p239, went to the academy with it and was told that it was not acceptable (he got confused and was supposed to get the P229). However, he took it back (unfired) and traded it for the right gun. Now it is considered used and it is sitting there with three factory mags for 475.00.

To me this seems like a pretty good deal, and I have always wanted one... It is half way to my firearm nirvana of a P239 for CCW and a GSR 1911 for a full sized target/house gun....

Your thoughts.......

you better go right back there and get it

NOW! that is a smoking deal. Or buy it and sell it to me!! if it is a 40 nitron.

Sorry left out that important information...

It is Nitron and a 9mm....

But still, I think that is a good deal....

Saddly, I am short on cash and they are giving .30 on the dollar for trades...

I have a .357 that is worth about 300.00 (normal trade value) and they are offering my 100.00... Cannot go with that option....

So hard to have such a deal in front of me, and trying to find the cash to grab it....

Must get new sig... must get new sig.... must get new sig....

and then what do I do when the GSR 1911 comes out???

I still have the 229 to trade up for that though..

Not a bad deal at all. I got mine in .357 SIG for CCW and it's rapidly edging my P220 out as my favorite handgun. I shoot better groups with it every time I take it out, and they're already far and away the best I've shot with any pistol. There are just no negatives to the P239.

He told me that he would but it on hold for 30 Days... no more....

I think that I am going to call him tomorrow and tell him to pull it off the shelf to buy me some time to find the cash....
