So today I shot another 100 rounds through my pistol. I shot 50 rounds of WWB 115gr ammo and experienced 3 failure to return to battery. I shot 50 rounds of American Eagle 124gr and had 6 failure to return to battery. The failures were with both mags and seemed to be random and not the same round in the mag.

Brought the pistol home and gave it a good cleaning and lubing and I thought is it possible that my extractor is real tight and that maybe it's requiring to much force to slide over the rim so it stops the slide just short. Is that an issue anyone has ever heard of? I'm at 200 rounds now and the failures still happen. Maybe I should just quit fooling with it and let Sig figure it out.

Just curious, are using grease on the slide? Trying to think of anything crazy that could be contributing to the problem. Probably just needs to go back Sig though.

I've used Hoppes Gun oil the first time and used Hoppes Gun Medic lube the last 2 times I've cleaned it. I'm not drenching the pistol in it but it's not running dry either. A few drops on the wear areas, spread it with my finger then rack slide 5 times and wide off excess.

The problem you’re having is one I had with two P365’s and two P365XL’s and is a common problem the guns have. As I mentioned before Sig had to replace my XL because of this. Send it to Sig.

I was having that problem with my p365. Turned out it was only doing it with new star line brass, got a Lee undersized die and problem solved.

I just shot my P365XL for the first time yesterday, approximately 50 rounds of 124 gr S&B, with no failures of any sort. Since this model came with the Sig Romeo Zero installed, I spent most of my time zeroing in the red dot. A great gun to shoot. I like it almost as well as my 1 year-old P365, which also has had no failures of any sort.

I would send it back and let sig deal with it.Mine has been flawless since brand new with all types of ammo.Imo any brand new gun should function properly right out of the gate.

I have about 500 rounds through my 365XL NO problems of any kind. The pistol is accurate and reliable with many different loads and is now my main CC. Like all things mechanical some are lemons for whatever reaon. Send it back to SIG.
