My eye sight isn't the greatest, it's okay but I always have trouble sighting in a good group at 100 yards with a 3-9x40 scope. Where I hunt, it'd be rare to get a shot off at 75 yards. This year I decided to sight my scope in at 50 yards for dead center (no high or low) because I can see much better. Using a Model 70 30-06 w/ Redfield 3-9x40 and 165 Core-Lokts, would there be any need for me to hold over/aim high or low on a deer if the chance presented itself from 50 out to 100 yards? I'm not looking for sub-MOA, yet minute of deer vital accuracy.
