Anyone own one? I am debating on spending the $500 and getting one. Coyotes are on cameras every single night and rabbit population is almost gone. One thing that totally confuses me is the IR lights for them. Is it an actual light or what?

So I've never used a wraith, so can't say anything to that.

the light thing basically IS a little flashlight, that produces light in the IR (infrared) range, which is what most standard night visions pick up. Your eye on the other hand can't detect that far into the red...tho if you looks right at the bulb it will visibly be glowing.

Gotcha. I keep seeing comments when I google about don't use say a wicked light setup because once the dogs hit with the light it runs. I thought why in the world would I spend $500 on a night scope to use a light when everyone says they run from lights?

I'm not familiar with those, but it LOOKs like they produce visible light, just with your choice of colors red/green/white.
I've done quite a bit of night shooting with spotlights, and I've played with red filters, and honestly they didn't do crap for me besides not leaving as bad an after image when I turned off my spot light.
If using vis light, might as well run a super bright white light and blind the hell out of everyone for a second.

oh as a note, my dogs have all seen red light just fine....cats arnt the only ones that like to chase lasers.

Yeah, the Wicked lights are just super bright maglights/flashlights. I honestly thought that's what these IR lights were. I wasn't aware we cant see them.
