silicone oils

several threads around about Mobile 1 as a gun oil.what about Silicone oil.I have several pints of industrial strength 100% silicone oil in various viscosities from water up to Molasses. I've tried to do some internet research,but me and Mr. Computer don't get along real well. just wondering what some thoughs might be. thanks jwr

I use a silicone cloth with an extra spray of silicone as a wipe down rag for the guns in the safe. It seems like it works well to wipe off fingerprints and help prevent rust.

Maybe it's time for an experiment. Try it as a lube and see what happens.
