OK, guilty pleasure, I know, but as a former tac team member I watch some stupid TV shows (strictly for training purposes, of course)... what 1911 is this "Deacon" is shown with on the CBS show SWAT? Closest I could find was an STI "DVC" but not sure... (the show has shown the team members with the Kimber TLE II, which is accurate, and in one episode, Deacon pulled out a SIG P-365 -- good taste, fer sure)

Its definitely a DVC gun as per the slide treatment. However, I am going to go with no clue for 200 Alex.

Lines are wrong for the DVC 3-gun. 3G has long Ball-End cuts, 3Gs have adjustable sights this one is sporting Ledge.

Lines are wrong for a DVC Tactical too (full length Rail)
Lines are correct for a DVC Carry w/ rail. Whats shown is a full sized gun and carry's were 3.9". (3 slide slots vs. 2)
Not an L or O or P

So I am guessing its something one off or not sold to the public?

Course the DVC line represents the last of STI before transitioning to their new name/lineup

Probably something custom from a hollywood prop company to look as badass as possible.

I'ma go with tarosean - almost looks like a DVC Tactical slide but atop a frame that's had the rail milled back a bit (and with a non-threaded barrel).

STI's DVC line would change a little here and there while they made it so it could either be an oddball iteration or indeed something customized either by STI (sorry, Staccato now :barf:) or another gunsmith.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I discovered this show recently (along with the one show just previous to it, SEAL Team on the same network); the wife won't watch 'em with me after the other night as I was apparently pausing the action every time firearms were displayed to check the equipment out and critique technique). Aside from the (evidently young) writers and producers attempting to display just how "woke" they are, it seems the gun choices are fairly legit and someone (the show's armorers perhaps) are making a concerted effort to stay fairly accurate in that arena, although the show's vehicles crack me up quite a bit.

The main characters from the show SWAT have all trained at Taran Tactical. It would make sense that product placement would be in the contract

I tried to watch it when it first came out but the first two episodes were so full of obviously airsoft or non guns and terrible CGI muzzle flashes. Hopefully it's gotten better.

Maybe I'm spoiled, but hollyweird needs to hire the CGI folks who do the movies out Korea and Hong Kong. Some of them ya gotta really look to see it's even fake.

If this is true, they should get a refund. I've watched exactly two episodes and in both the handling stupidity drove me away.
