silver bullets
Thanks for the info. I'm well aware of the properties of silver, that's why I'm having a jewler cast the bullets. As for the molds, they're replaceable, but I doubt any damage will come to them. The melting point of plain Iron is 600 degrees C. above that of silver
I've received conflicting information... Sierra advises using lead data, while CCI advises jacked data.
Silver being harder than lead should tolerate the higher loads and I'm guessing there won't be a 'leading' problem
As I mentioned, these are mostly for show, but if I'm ever down to a last bullet and it's a silver one, I want it to function. I'll be damned if I'll throw 1/2 oz of silver at someone/thing unless it's coming out of the barrel of one of my Blackhawks.
