Simmons 3-9x 22mag Scope on AR?

I haven't decided yet on which scope to put on my new AR. I have a Simmons 3-9x 22mag scope laying around that I had on a Ruger 10/22. If I put that on my AR to play around with, could it break?? I don't want to ruin the scope, what do you guys think?

Simmons will not be adequate on an AR most likely. It won't break but it won't hold zero either.

I wouldn't...get something a bit nicer for the AR, Nikon is very good for the money.

Don't put the 22 Mag cope on the AR. I have 2 of those scopes, but neither is very good. They are not very clear past 80 yards. I use mine for the .22 Mag and .22lr single shot.

I recently purchased my first AR and went with the Bushnell Trophy 1x32 scope. It will allow me to do anything I need it for....just wish it was a 3 power.

The Simmons 22 scope probably won't cut it on an AR. Try a Nikon Buckmasters or Monarch.
