I have a Simmons 6.5-20X50 scope "Whitetail classic"the scope has a duplex reticle.Im used to MOA or Mil retices. Can you do any adjustments on this scope

Are you asking if the reticle can be changed? I have the same scope, but don't know the answer to that.

Walkalong,Yeah the scope seemsreally good .Can I change reticles ,what about the knobs then.My Ruger Precision has a Vortex scope with MIL reticle and knobs.

Stoney point used to sell target turret caps that fit the WTCs if i remember correctly, but i dont believe they worked real well.
As to changing anything internally I very much doubt youll find anywhere thet will do it. They DID offer that scope with a mildot reticle, and you can sometimes find them on ebay.

There are some scopes on sale right now for good prices that can fill thebill, that’s the route I would go.

Thats a good suggestion.

If you decide to get rid of it and its in good shape, it could probably help get you 1/3-1/2 way to another decent scope.
Those 6.5-20 WTC have something of a cult following and you should be able to sell it for a decent price, especially if its an midway special (those are fine matte, the other ones have the wrinkle finish on them).

Midway has Sightron S-tac 3-16x42s with a very fine target reticle in MOA and MOA target turrets for around 250.

I bought one on sale from Midway a couple of decades ago for about $100. Mine has the wrinkle finish tho. I gave it to one of my kids who has it mounted on a CMP surplus heavy barrel Rem 541 .22. Its a pretty decent scope, as were most Simmons from that era.

I think that I paid about $240 for that 541, and wish that I had bought as many as the law allowed.

Perhaps im wrong on the finish then, all of the midway specials I've seen were anodized matte, but I know Simmons DID do the wrinkle finish around the same time.
