Well, I voted for DA but when I am thinking of DA handguns, I am thinking of selective SA/DA handguns like the USP, CZ-75/85 and EAA Witness lines. My reason is that I live up here in ND where we spend a lot of time in cold weather where heavy gloves are worn on a routine basis. These guns (with the USP having the largest trigger guard) can be carried cocked and locked and when you combine that mode of carry with the large DA-style trigger guard, it's easy to get a heavy glove into the trigger without risking an AD. Single actions like my 1911 and High Power and typical DA autos like my Sig, Beretta, Walther, Glock and Makarov where there isn't an option to carry them cocked and locked just don't offer very much room to get a gloved finger shoved in there very easily. To me, that's a big selling point that HK, CZ and EAA offer and the reason I bought and carry them over the others.

Pocket gun, DAO, preferably revolver.
IWB or pouch, C+L would be my preference.
Anything else is whatever you're comfortable, with DA/SA first for me.
