Just wondering I found a single action at my local pawn shop it's some German off brand but it's only $275 it has a 7.5 inch barrel and is in 357 mag should I get it?

Without a little more information, like WHICH German off-brand, condition, etc., it would be hard to give advice other than if it is worth it to you, you like it, and you have the money, then yes.

Some German off brand could be a pile of junk. There have been a few.
And a Smith M19 can be a single action. It an SAA clone? Anyway, the thing is just $275 for a reason.

It's a Single action army clone and it's name starts with A I'll call the guy real quick

This thread reminds me of the old "TMI ! TMI !" protest (Too Much Information.) Only this is TLI. :)

I've heard some good things about a particular brand of German made Colt clone, but the name escapes me as well. Country of origin means little, though. Most of us know that German guns don't fit (categorically) in to the "it's made in Germany, therefore it must good" formula (like German beer and cars more or less do) but there may be some gun owners who don't know this. These folks might think most brands are Walther quality. Many of us, however, are old enough to remember the many thousands of RG revolvers that came into US from Germany decades ago. Maybe the worst revolver I ever owned.

more chances its not a good one, than it is a good one. i,d pass on that one. eastbank.

The Italians Pietta and Uberti have been building very high quality and accurate clones of Colt Single Action Revolvers for several decades. They are popular in Cowboy Action Shooting Matches. CAS is a speed shooting event and the guns are ran hard. They hold well for CAS, spare parts are available and the action can be tuned up to be very slick.

I can't recall ever seeing a German Single Action Revolver used in a Cowboy Action Shooting match.

As for price you may be able to pick up a used Pietta or Uberti for about the same amount of money. In fact I brought a used Pietta Single Action that looks unfired for about $250.00.
