Does anyone make single action shoulder holsters? Any one have experience carrying one in that configuration? I normally do DA revolvers in shoulder rigs but not single actions but im interested in the premise.

I use them some in the winter under coats.

But during the hot summer months, they stick your shirt down in the sweat, and get to stinking after a few months.

And I don't have as much padding on my thin skin & shoulder bones as I did 30-40 years ago.

For me at least.

Barry the Bear: I happen to really like Single Action Shoulder Holsters and still have several. The Bianchi X15, is a good rig I think and I still have a couple. Safariland Use to make a good Single Action Shoulder Holster or at least I thought so. I don`t know if either company still makes them now. Tombstone Holsters makes them but as You said they are pricey, but worth it IMHO. A Holster Company call COW`S made some very good heavy duty Single Actions Shoulder Holsters. They made some of them especially for Ruger with Ruger BlackHawk trade mark stamped on them which I really like, and I use them a lot. I got started using a standard Issue Shoulder Holster for a 1911 while in the Army in Viet Nam and learned to like it. I really hated carrying any thing extra around my waist. They were are all leather, and stunk when they got sweat soaked, but that is what Saddle Soap is for.
