Single shot shotgun=Farmer's Friend.

FWIW, Clint Smith, the Director of Thunder Ranch, keeps a single shot 20 gauge with a butt cuff from Milt Sparks as one of his HD guns. Clint acknowledges this on his shotgun tape so I am not telling tales out of school.

Weapons do not give one skill; education and practice do this.

How totally awesome!
Clint using a single shot 20 with butt cuff!

IIRC Clint also did a class on using a Single action revolver did he not?
Did one using a lever action carbine as well?

Once upon a time I had a Ruger Blackhawk in 30 cal carbine, totally neat pistol, and I wish I still had it.
Anyway, I used it as part of my HD, along with a M1 carbine, single shot shotguns and a double barrel shotgun.
Lever action stayed in the truck. Southern Trucks ain't dressed without a Model 94 where I come from. *grin*

Dad had one of those 30 carbine blackhawks. Best thing it was good for was getting people to quit crowding your bench at the range. And around these parts someone with a 94 in the rear window is someone who doesn't have enough sense to buy a 336.:neener: AKA, Texicans.:neener::neener::neener:

Dang Okies...
Ones in Tulsa thought Casa Bonita was "real" Mexican food back in the early 80's.
:D

All the gun racks in OK when I running OK highways and all , had Model 94s.
Indians did for sure.

Then what did they know, they were painting single shot and other shotguns with "Colors".

I shot comp with some Indians, and they had the most beautiful shotguns painted - messes with the mental game of those they shot against.

Man those were some good times we had.
"I thought you Injuns used bow and arrows" I smarted off
"White man watch too many black white movies, we've been shooting quail long time with Winchester/ H&R " - they quipped back.

Single shot Win / H&R shotguns, and busting quail we were...
