Single stack .40?

Do you guys have recommendations for a single stack .40 cal pistol that have a reputation for being reliable?

1. One that is hammer fired is preferred
2. One with a manual safety would be an added plus but not necessary.
3. But the key quality I'm looking for is slimness and reliability.

The Springfield EMP is the first one that comes to mind. It'll cost you close to $1100 though.

Smith & Wesson 4013 (DA/SA with slide-mounted safety) or 4053 (DAO, no safety). These are discontinued but are plentiful used.

Bought a S&W 4013 back when it 1st came out many years ago now. It has been flawless from the start. There is a reason it is within an arms reach as I type this.

kahr k 40. i think it will more than fit your bill. i had one, and i wish that i still had it. they are reliable, accurate, and the triggers are real nice. they are thin, and very concelable.

+1 on the Sig 239. It is an excellent gun that will not let you down.

+2 on the Sig P239. I CC one in .40 S&W easily in a Crossbreed IWB holster. A very accurate and reliable, easy to shoot gun.
