I'm looking for a hot weather CCW. I was leaning toward a Glock 26 but that thing is pretty fat.

I'd like a nine. Does anybody make a 9mm the same size as the Sig 232?
Something with a hammer drop and first shot DA?

The 232 specs: Overall Length 6.6 inches; Overall Height 4.7 inches; Overall Width 1.2 inches.

The closest I see is the Sig 239. Dimensions are the same as the 232 except overall height is 5.1 inches.

Any other brands/model fit the above criteria?

9x18 Makarov.

Not 9mm Luger, I know, but still a good round for SD, and the pistol is WONDERFUL to shoot. I think it's the Smith Model 10 of autoloaders. Not the most powerful thing in the world, but just awesome to shoot.

I was going to suggest the Sig 239 but it seems as if you're already aware of it. The only other option I can think of is Kahr, but you either love 'em or hate 'em.

Edit: I have the P9 and I'm constantly amazed by how thin it is. It absolutely disappears in a holster. BTW, no FTF or FTE in several thousand rounds downrange.

Not a single stack...........

Whether money is an issue or not,try shooting somebodys Kel-Tec's P11.Terrible trigger, but practice will get you over that hump. With 10 shots in the mag and one down the tube you have a lot of protection ,very concealable, very affordable and a great support staff.I've shot well over a thousand rounds out of mine, wear it almost every day and never ,ever had a problem with it ! ...But you will find a segment of pistol owners that believe if you don't spend an arm and leg on your protection, you're being short changed. The Makarov is also damn near foolproof, but not as small or powerful as a Kel-tec.I outshot my pistolero friend and his Kahr.I believe it,the Kahr, is actually too small for average sized hands to control for fast shots at multiple targets.Hey,what ever floats your boat, but I think you should give the Kel-Tec a chance..........................

The Colt Pocket Nine and the Rohrbaugh R9 ...

... are six shot 9mm's. For the record, the 3913/3914 and the 239 are 8+1.

D'oh! I seriously need to learn to read....you're looking for something in a 9mm
As single stack 9mm's go, my first thought is always to the HK P7M8 & my second thought is the expense  as a follow up to that recommendation, I'd still w/ a Kahr ;)

Long discontinued, hard to find now and pricey when you do.
They're still around (but getting harder to find) -- I picked up a few NIB models within the past year.

Hang on to that little beauty Alan Fud. Nice grips by the way.
Thank you. I plan to hang on to them -- they turned out to be real sleepers ... the P9 is my most frequent carried gun during the wamer months and often acts as a secondary gun during the colder months when I'm carrying something bigger.
