Got two singleshot 12 gauges that I've been out patterning all kinds of buckshot lately(sore shoulder:scrutiny:. Anyways, what is a good size buckshot to use? One of my shotguns is a modified and the other one a full. Thanks all!

"...good size buckshot to use?..." None. Buckshot isn't reliable. However, if your hunting regs require it and one or the other is a 3" mag, use the FC with 4 buck. 4 buck out of a 2.75" too. More 6mm pellets compared to SG's or SSG's.
And no shot past 40 yards with either shell length.

the 00 buck, reduced recoil, flightcontrol buckshot has really unbelievably tight patterns out of a cylinder and I/C choke, problem is the smallest choked gun I have is a modified. Did you mean #4 buck flightcontrol or just federal company? I have yet to see any #4 flightcontrol's anywhere, been wanting to buy a case.

I believe it would help us to better understand your situation if you were to tell us at what distances you plan to shoot this buckshot.

50 yards maximum, thanks for your input
That is to far for buckshot to be a reliable killer I like 35 yards max I prefer #1-4 buck better Use the one that patterns the best
