Just getting back into shooting after several years away. Mainly shooting a Kimber Stainless Custom .45 but like to switch out with the .22 . The wife's gun. My eye sight has gotten worse over the years. The Kimber has night sites and I can line up the sites on the gun with a blurry target.. Not the best but I can still get out and shoot.. With the .22 and adjustable sites I find it hard to even see them on the gun. What are my options for the Browning Buckmark? Do they make night sites for this gun?

Appreciate the help..

I've never seen night sights marketed for the Buckmark, and I've spent my share of time pouring through all the doodads available for BMs. If you really want night sights, I'm sure someone out there (Novaks maybe) could drill out the front sight post and put a vial in there for ya. I don't think you could do true night sights on the rear- just not enough material there.

If you just need increased visibility, rather than true night sights (as I suspect), you can just put some dots of high visibility paint on the existing setup. There are paints sold specifically for this use on firearms. Many folks have success with Testor's-type model paint and fingernail polish is popular as well. Any of these options would cost you ~$5 to try out and are easily removable (which in turn means they might need touching up from time to time). It's easy and cheap to use one color for the front and another for the rear this way as well.

You might want to consider HI-VIZ fiberoptic sights. They are pretty cheap and make a big difference. I have a HI-VIZ front sight (they make rear sights as well) on my Ruger Mk. III, and it's a huge improvement over the stock black sights.

Thanks.. I found the HiViz sites at Cabela's too. Amazing what google will do for ya. :)

I saw a YouTube video on the Holographic sight. Looks like something interesting to play with but a little too bulky to leave on the gun. I told the wife I was changing the site on her gun so I can shoot it and she wasn't happy. She likes her sights and can see them just fine. Ok then, time to get my own .22. :) Going to try some glow in the dark fingernail paint to see if it helps and if not I'll give the HiViz a shot.

Appreciated the help. Next question would be what .22 to buy for myself.. but that will be another thread.
