Been do'n this for many years and thought I'd pass this little ol' tip along to y'all. Ever had your six shooter or wheelie gun grips warp or crack ? Now I know some of y'all been guilty of over tight'n them there screws. Well, head down to home depot, lowes, or y'all's local hardware store and get yourself one of them there nylon spacers that go over the grip screw between the panels. Be sure to bring y'all's grip screws along to get the right size. Y'all my have to file the nylon spacer tips a weeee bit to get the right internal size, but the nylon files real easy in a few mins. :D

This is a good tip. Cary Chapman provided an aluminum spacer with his custom grips for years. Takes a lot of the strain off the panels if properly fitted.

Thanks Craig, I surely remember that and actually what gave me the idea in getting the nylon ones years back. I went with the nylon as it was more easily adjustable, and being nylon, was less likely to cause any future problems, especially with MOP.
