I made it back out with the SKS today to finish tweaking the red dot. I also took time to really slow down and pay attention shooting both iron sights and red dot.
I only shot 25 and fifty yards this time and was very happy with quarter sized groups at 25 yds and silver dollar sized groups at 50 yds.
The biggest difference this time was that I gave myself a bright, high contrast dot to aim at. After making some small adjustments, it's be a fine squirrel head shooter at 50 yds. I'll call myself happy with that.
For bad eyes, the red dot works wonders. The bright dots were most beneficial with iron sights.
Reckon we could get deer adn pigs to wear a bright orange, green, or pink dot?
