SKS stock question

Well, I understand why you might like a "conventional" stock.....

However I have an SKS-M with the ATI "Dragunov" type stock. The nicest thing is that it has an adjustable cheekpiece (mine is scoped) and is very comfortable, and well balanced. You might still consider this as its the best most confortable sytok I've found fo any of my SKSs....I don;t see the advnatage to the "conventional" stocks over the aftermarket stocks, as you can always add length to the normal stock.

Have you looked at the Tapco T-6 stocks? Similar feel to the AR (PG and stock) which has adjustable LOP. One guy on the SKS survivor board is 6'6" and says the stock extended all the way fit him perfectly. Comes with or without bayo cutout.

Gunna be the next purchase for my SKS's. And some of the flawless functioning color matched 30 rounders they came out with this month for $20. :D

Choate Dragunov Stock

Just bought a Yugo SKS 59/66 and am looking for an aftermarket stock. I'm looking at the Choate Dragunov stock. Anyone tried it? Anyone heard anything about it, good or bad? Thanks for your time.

I thought they were only "20 rounders"? I got two in the mail yesterday, but haven't had time to try them yet.

I had the ATI Monte Carlo stock that doubleg posted a link to on my Russian sks for a while, and it was REAL nice, light, and comfortable, and wit hthe extra-thick foam buttpad, it made it a few inches longer.Only reason I got rid of it was that the original wood for the gun was just MINT, so I decided to put it on to use the gun as my example of a nice, original sks for my collection. Was a nice stock though....
