SKS Tapco 6 position adjustable stock weaver rail suggestions

I just got a Yugo SKS and am planning on changing out the stock to the Tapco adjustable stock. If anyone is familiar with this stock or has one, I would like to know if you have any suggestions as to what works well on the built in weaver rail above the hand guard. Being that it is above the hand guard, I don't think a regular scope would be any use. Has anyone tried a HUD sight on the weaver rail above the hand guard?

I am not interested in changing out the dust rail for one that has a weaver or scope rings because of the "losing zero" issue after you clean the rifle. If my logic is correct you would then have do dirty the rifle again to re-zero it.

I know this is a narrow topic but, any useful suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well there are lots of threads on this. My understanding is that it's just a gas-tube with a rail. Not sure how stable it is, heard lots of tubes have lots of play.

I would say that you will probably want a CQB sight or some type of red dot. I have the Yugo with the Tapco stock. The eye relief would be a big problem since a regular scope would be so far foward. I may have to throw the EoTech on it to try it and see.

There's a thread here where you can get truglo red dots for $25 at gander mountain, and they ship.

One thing about the stock, can you use an ordinary mag or do you have to buy theirs? Stripper clip capability?
